This is the criteria used when creating Makeup Gourmet cosmetics.
The brand Makeup Gourmet strongly reflects my approach to makeup.
Makeup because that is what I do and Gourmet because I approach makeup the same way I approach cooking.
Find a recipe that sounds tasty.
Get the list of ingredients for that recipe.
Follow the recipe.
If you can follow a recipe, you can make it.
This is how I apply and teach how to apply makeup. One step at a time and in a logical order.
As in cooking, the better the quality of the ingredients, the better the end result.
As in your areas of expertise, we choose to use ingredients/tools that give us the consistently best results.
After 20 years of selling other makeup brands, time came to assemble makeup to sell to you.
from sheer experience I know what ingredients I like and that deliver the best results.
That was the easy part of creating Makeup Gourmet cosmetics.
What surprised me was discovering what kind of retailer I want to be.
This came to me once I dissected what kind of consumer I am.
When buying produce, I prefer to buy from local farms. Less of a carbon footprint. Strengthens local economy.
I avoid products that are not made in the USA whenever possible. I go so far as to look at the company’s impact on the world and try to support like minded behavior.
So besides using what I like and liking what I use with makeup, here are the decisions made as to what kind of values I want as a retailer.
Our hearts go out to everyone affected by these tragic fires in Northern California.
Warmly, Chris Scott

I am very interested in your fall eye shadows. I would like to sample them in order to know what looks best on me. Is this possible?
Yes I love this color selection as well. When I put these together and saw them in their case they look even better than I thought they would. If you are in San Francisco then you can come to the makeup Gourmet studio and test the colors. Are you in San Francisco or close enough to travel to the studio?
